I am very pale and have used the mystic tan several times. I do think it works better on people who are paler. It fades very naturally so no need to worry there. Also, while you may think the whole of the world is looking at every inch of you at every moment, they aren't, so don't worry about a little blotching.
Yes, you should tan your face. The mystic tan I have used is at the salon where you stand in a booth and you get sprayed. I have also used the kind in the bottle with good results, it's just messy.
If you go to the salon, the best tip I have is to make sure you use the blocking cream on your nails [toes and fingers] and use a very thin layer on your knuckles.
Make sure you exfoliate first and moisturize moisturize moisturize. Stay out of pools as the chlorine will remove it in blotches.

I have two brands of mist instant tan and both suck. I think they all are bad. First of all I get an allergic reaction for some reason which I always ignore but my eyes are always feeling bloated. Then some of the stain stays in my forehead which is irratating. I dont think it ever looks natural although I though I was fooling myself. Unfortunately often I look like I have a good dose of jaundice as I have a light olive skin to begin with so it doesnt really go that healthy looking rosey brown. Plus you have to really know what you are doing to get it even and natural like the sun did it. Plus I am 100% sure they are going to find its very harmful for your skin too..after all it is a dye. Anyways get alittle sun its healthier and more beautiful.

mystic tans are horrible for the money. they fade in certain areas and no matter what you are blotchy somewhere. if you sweat even a little it smudges. and 95% of the time it looks incredibly fake

ive done it and it does have a more orangey look to it and when i fades, your skin almost looks spotted as it wears off. i recommend just normal fake and baking... it is a way better look!
