I just started learning horseriding and it's much harder than it looks!Can anyone please tell me how I can improve my balance and maintain proper posture on my horse?Also,are there any excercises I can do at home to prepare me better for this sport?Any other advice and tips are also welcome

Well western riding is different than english...I know western(OQHA). The first thing is to keep the weight of your body on your toes not your but. this will keep you from bouncing all over. Next keep your back streight. and your haed up. look out between the horses ears to whare you are going. reins in one hand ring finger between them...Do not chirp to the horse or give verbal comands while riding. there are MANY cues you need to learn to get a horse to bend,switch leads and change its speed of travel....aswell as direction. It would be best for you to get some hands one instructing with a knowlageable person.As there is So much to the sport that can not be talked about over the internet.It really needs to be done inperson while you are one the horse.
