i want to use wundows xp home.My pc has windows pro on it now ,how can i install xp home ?

This is actually a downgrade. I'll you'll be doing is limiting your self from a few accessible features only found in XP Pro. Just do not use the extra features if you do not utilize them.

Its a rather complicated task as you have to make sure you only overwrite the windows install and I'm sure someone will explain it. But there is no real reason to install XP home over XP Pro as there is basically no difference except a few extra features that are hidden away in Pro. For the average user the is no difference between to two.

No you would need to make your system a dual boot. XP Pro is the better verison of the XP family. Also XP Por can do everything that Home can do. So why would you want to downgrade to Home since the two are alike?

I tried it the other way around and the drivers were different. It wasn't worth the headache.
