I live in Milton Keynes & I think that you will enjoy it.

Go to www.miltonkeynes.co.uk you will find plenty of things to do, good lakes with things to do & a lot of green open spaces.

MK is based on a grid of squares for the road network similar to the US & it is easy & quick to get around. There are loads of roundabouts & not many trafic lights.

See you soon

Ah, home of the round-a-bout and the concrete cows. (No, they are not just an urban myth, they DO exist)
I lived there for a few years and it's OK. To be honest, it depends on whether you have kids or not. I personally loved it there till I had kids. There's not a great sense of community that you might get in a smaller town or village, so if you have small kids, it's easy to feel isolated. If you don't have kids, then it can be a great place to live, there's a lot of night life in and around the town center.

I'm fascinated by numerology. I strongly believe that numbers reflect certain aptitudes and character tendencies, as an integral part of the cosmic plan. Each letter has a numeric value that provides a related cosmic vibration. The sum of the numbers in your birth date and the sum of value derived from the letters in the name provide an interrelation of vibrations. These numbers show a great deal about character, purpose in life, what motivates, and where talents may lie.

I know the perfect solution if you are just starting with woodworking and also if you have already experience with it. I reccomend to give a look to this website ( woodworkingplans.kyma.info ) You can find a lot of woodworking plans and you will be able to manage the projects with a CAD/DWG software. It allows you to modify the projects and to alter the arragements. If you are a beginner this is the easiest way to start, it's the best approach to woodworking; and if you already have experience you will find a lot of ideas and inspirations to improve your abilities with woodwork. I'm sure that you will love it!

Along with stone, mud and animal parts, wood was one of the first materials worked by early humans. Microwear analysis of the Mousterian stone tools used by the Neanderthals show that many were used to work wood. The development of civilization was closely tied to the development of increasingly greater degrees of skill in working these materials.

It's a ugly godawful mess. Basically a load of roads and carparks with a 'city' added as an afterthought.
A bit like Los Angeles without the sun, style, glamour or sea. It's located roughly 50 miles northwest of London (on the west coast mainline railway if that's any help).

I would advise against it. My mum and step dad live there and have done for the past 6 years and have seen it rapidly go downhill. they hate it that much that they are now moving down to Plymouth where I live. When I visit I find that there is nothing really to do there, unless you like to shop or maybe ski. A lot of the houses are temporary and are just prefabs, but poorly made. The hospital was supposed to be temporary when the city was first built, but it is still there and was given a no star rating a couple of years ago. And as for roundabouts, my god I have never seen so many in my life!!!! It is very near to Northampton and Luton. I would really go and have a look there first before making any decisions, and really do think about it. Good luck.

I always get lost when I go there - too many roundabouts and confusing signs.

I have still to find the centre of MK. Never lived there so can't comment any further.
