Not yet. No fortunately my husband is not the physically abusive type or I would have flattened his head with a skillet long ago. But seriously, I did grow up around some bas*ardley men. I decided way back then, I would never tolerate that crap. If your husband or someone you knows has that problem, get rid of him. Abusive people always say they'll change, but never ever do. It's sick.

Been in an abusive relationship myself but I never used physical means to deal with him. I realize now that I should have taken my kids and left when he started getting verbally and emotionally abusive but I stayed. Big mistake...It turned to physical abuse! Don't stay in an abusive relationship even if it is only verbal and emotional as it turns to physical sooner or later. Since you have the physical abuse get out while you can because it will only get more violent possibly ending tragically.

physical can be relative. i can suggest a action that will be a treat making you smile as you feel a little of your power return...three drops of visine in a beverage and gowatch no longer than 15 minutes on your watch and he will recieve a small dose of whatr the jerk probably has coming to him, justice served by a wronged party can be sweet.

Luckily my husband has never lifted a hand to me but when I was growing up our neighbour was severly beaten by her husband. She wasn't far behind him and would clobber him with hosepipes, belts and I clearly remember the last time he hit her - when he had exhausted himself, she went into the bedroom and pulled a shotgun on him. She never actually shot him but he got such a fright, he never raised his hands to her again and not long after that they got divorced

Hi,well the best thing to do would be to get out of the relationship but when it comes down to it a person can only take so much, my recent x got a black eye one day but I didn't mean it he just wouldn't leave me the hell alone and he wouldn't give me my shoe's then on top of that held me hostage for 3 days dam reaction just kinda bursted my fist to his face but like I mentioned I didn't mean it.

When things get that hard to deal with when your with someone who claims they love you just get out when it's safe to do so.

Good luck.

One time my ex hit me. I clawed the **** out of him with my nails, knocked him to the floor, kicked him, jumped on top of him and clawed him up some more. I told him hit me again you SOB and I'll get a gun and shoot you dead. That was the 1st and last time he ever hit me. He's 6 foot 4 and I'm 5 foot 6 and I wasn't scared of him. I'm no one's punching bag.
