Reverse Osmosis. The water is pushed through a membrane that is like a tube. The Purified water is collected from inside the tube. The pressurised water is outside, in the reservoir in which the tube is in.

You should really change it to Reverse Osmosis thst's what i use at home.When i had the carbon& UV filter the water colouration during rainy season would be brown and the salt(bore well)present would not be removed by it.But this R.O removes evrything and gives me water like in a packaged mineral water.It can kill germs upto 5 microns size.GO FOR IT
