I was with someone I really loved, and broke up with her because of my religion. I realised that I didn't agree with that aspect of my culture, and it is hard to disagree with something when it has been part of your upbringing so it took me a few weeks to get back to her and say I had made a big mistake. She said she was over me and told me to move on. I just feel like I'm still hurting so much, and I still love her so much, and people tell me to think of the negative things but I can't. There was nothing, our relationship was the most happy and perfect relationship I have been in and I threw it away. How can I get over this hurt?

Time will heal it soon enough...you'll be okay..hang in there :)...try to start dating because once you find another great girl it is A LOT easier to move on!...Hang with your friends and family and stay as busy as possible to keep your mind off of her that always helps! ..Good Luck!

If your relationship was that happy and perfect before, and she is already over it in 3 weeks, then I'd say it wasn't so perfect. You might have just been kidding yourself that this is the girl for you when all along she didn't thing you were the guy for her. You don't get over a meaningful relationship in 3 weeks.

OR, she is just paying you back and making you squirm. Maybe she was so gutted by your rejection that she doesn't want to just run into your arms at the first chance of reconciliation. In which case, maybe you still have a chance.

Regardless, you need some face-to-face time with her to get a straight answer.

I feel for you in one respect because it hurts when you love someone and they turn you away but buddy you did it to yourself no matter why you did it. You said it was a happy and perfect relationship. That kind of relationship is hard to find especially in this day and age. When are you guys going to learn that you should appreciate it while you have it? You obviously hurt her when you broke it off. Then you took your time to come to the conclusion that you made a big mistake. If your relationship was happy and perfect I am sure she waited awhile but did you expect her to wait forever for you to come around?
