If your first language is English, then japanese is the hardest to learn, followed by chinese. The languages of love are the easiest for english as a first.

alot of words are spelt the same as others the only differences are the pitch you say em at
and reading it
i think you should buy one of their newspapers
you wont even begin to understand anything

Well we must try some short courses to determine which one is the most difficult.
Maybe Chinese, Hindi, Arabic....who knows?
I think German "deutsche" also is very difficult.

I would say english. Just look how many people "speak" it in the USA, but what they use is a dialect.
They cannot speak correct ENGLISH.
By the way, just to avoid confusions, I don't mean the immigrants, I mean the yanks, that brag of ENGLISH ONLY, but they cannot speak actual english themselves

mandarin.
my friends have tried to teach me tons of times but i never seem to get it right.there are also so many characters to remember.i really admire those who can speak,read and write mandarin.it aint easy thats for sure.
