There can be no excuse for attempting humor regarding the monstrous mass murder of Jews by Hitler.
That an answerer would write such a thing here is beyiond belief!

Note that Judaism does not proselytize, so that anyone who chooses to become Jewish must do so out of strong personal conviction.

Jewish "by choice" means to convert to Judaism though one wasn't born into a Jewish family or born in Israel.

instead of being born Jewish they chose it.
