To your girlfriend, your face rubbing against hers feels like a brillo pad. You have to decide what you love most, your beard or your girlfriend. If you love her more, just shave the beard.

if u like growing them i guess u have to find some smoother w/c will make ur skin not rough. there are a lot anyways. its either u buy one or ur gf will stop kissing u....

I dated a guy ages ago who's facial hair wasn't too bad - he used to use conditioner on his face, after shampooing the hair on his head. Sounds weird, but might help?!
Other than that, depending on how quickly your hair grows, just be careful around her tender skin until it reaches a length that isn't so prickly.

get rid of the beard not only do they not look great but as your girlfriend stated they are uncomfortable,like being stabbed with little pins!!!
