no you can't because then she would think that you're coming on too strong to her. she isn't comfortable with your arm around her yet, so wait until she is before you kiss her. let her get used to you putting your arm around her before you move on to the next step.

when someone mentions that they dont want you to do something like that, you should really be much more aware of what you do in all aspects of being around her. If you want to kiss her cheek at this point, Ask her if you can. Some people dont mind cheek kisses. but dont ask where it could be imbarasssing to her. If she lets you put your arm around her Somtimes then she may just not like public displays of affection. wait until youve got your arm around her and ask away about the cheek kiss. Asking once doesnt cross any lines. Asking every 3 mins would...

Probably not, since she's already feeling uncomfortable with you arm around her. But then again it depends on the culture too. Well, you probably come from the US but I come from the Netherlands, where it's a custom to kiss a person goodbye (or hello) three times on the cheek. Personally I think a kiss on the cheek isn't as bad as an arm around me.

Well, you might be surprised by this answer but hell yessss you can. You see, there are many girls (I am a faithful married man) that I see, sometimes hugging, sometimes kissing, sometimes just saying hi. If one day a girl gives you a kiss and/or a hug, and the next day she doesn´t; I USED to think that meant that my chances with her were over. But, that is because as guys we are impatient and we jump to conclusions way too quickly. Once you have it with ANY woman where you have kissed her or hugged her before (get this, it´s true) you can ALWAYS do that again. You might look at it like, she didn´t reach out to hug you or kiss you this time, but she looks at it differently. She probably more or less looks at it like this; I let him in (close to me) once now. It´s his turn, now. Now he has to become Mr. Charming and hopefully more pleasant than ALL the other guys that I´ve kissed on the cheek. And now, if he impresses my pants off, the better it will be for everybody.
Put yourself into that mind set, and ANY girl that you´ve kissed once, and only once, you can continue kissing them when you see them, as long as you are CHARMING. Just be sweet, cute, and funny EVERYTIME. And she will be the one going to kiss you.
I promise.
Love and Respect.

I would have to say, no. If I liked a guy I wouldn't mind him putting arm around me anytime. She probably doesn't return your affections..

Just because you like her doesn't give you any rights to violate her space.

If she was your sister or mother or grandmother - would it be ok for a man she didn't want to hug her to kiss her???

depends on the girl if she don't want her arm on you then it MIGHT make her feel more comfortable when you did that or it could blow up in your face and you could ruin your friendship. just follow your heart and instinct ok

If she doesn't want your arm around her, she definitely won't want your face on her face. Use your common sense.

Of course you can, but only in case of saying hello and good bye ;-) I think she will not mind, cause it's normal.
