Well the idea of a goth is someone who dresses in black alot, wears dark make-up and tends to be seen as an outsider, kind of strange and mostly quiet, but most people believe that goths are kind of aggresive bcuz of their somewhat intimidating appearance and..well, cuz they usually like to listen to metal, death metal or really hard rock. Silly as that reason may sound.

And emo is actually dresses pretty casually, with jeans and a t-shirt. But they usually have longer hair at the front, which is sometimes dyed with some noticable colour. They also sometimes wear arm-bands and things like that, and they´re percieved as the types to listen to emo music and are kind of unstable emotionally.

Punks usually dress in whatever style is not popular at the moment. They deviate from the norm and are just basically rebellious and have a strong sense of their own morals, cuz even though no-one sees it, the reason punks are rebellious is because they dont like the way society is right now and so they do not want to part-take in it, just cuz they´re supposed to.

And then there are also all the closet-goths, emos and punks in the world, who feel like outsiders or emotional or idealistic on the inside, but they do not show it in their appearance. This could be due to 2 reasons. One might be that they just dont feel the need to express themselves in their appearace. And the other reason could be that they´re still kind of a little too scared to show other people how they feel inside.

That all being said, however, i must also say that, the definition of a goth or an emo, punk or any other kind of type, are just stereotypes and no person is just one thing. Every person is a whole big mix of all kinds of different ideas, passions, beliefs, emotions...and just so many other things. Thats what makes people interesting. =)

Goths are spiritual, pacifists, dress formally, listen to all types of metal and have large boots lol.

Punks are aggressive normally, dress very outrageous, different hair colours, crazy hair styles, listen to punk, metal, rock, glam.

Emos wear tight fit clothing that make them look poor, have hair in face, are emotional normally and bisexual...

THESE ARE STEROTYPES OK, NOT ALL EMO PUNK AND GOTH ARE LIKE THIS.
