"Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and @ss." - 1 Samuel 15:2-3

Innocent babies who are barely cognizant of the existence of their own toes...defenseless animals that have nothing to do with the politics of man....what a peaceful god aye?

"Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth." - Proverbs 24:17

-OR-

"The righteous shall rejoice when he seeth the vengeance: he shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked." - Psalm 58:10

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" - 2 Peter 3:9.

The Lord hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. - Proverbs 16:4

He makes people for the sole purpose of being "wicked". He creates his own enemies.

"Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man." - James 1:13

"I am merciful, saith the Lord, and I will not keep anger for ever." - Jeremiah 3:12

"But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; for they are unprofitable and vain." - Titus 3:9

"Neither give heed to fables and endless genealogies, which minister questions, rather than godly edifying which is in faith: so do." - I Timothy 1:4

(Yet, the Bible is rift with long, boring genealogies.)

"And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth." - Genesis 6:13

God was angry because "the earth was filled with violence." So he killed every living thing with a flood to make the world less violent??

"And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory." - Revelation 16:9

(Glory for what? Being burned to death?)

"Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord." - Proverbs 12:22

The word 'abomination' means God hates it so much that he'll not have anything to do with it whatsoever, and yet we read that he himself puts a lying spirit into his own prophets.....

"Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee." - 1 Kings 22:23

He causes people to believe in delusions and lies which he, himself, sends to them.....

"God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned." - 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12

"And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I the LORD have deceived that prophet, and I will stretch out my hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel." - Ezekiel 14:9

He causes them to lie and then destroys them for it.

Common sense alone makes the Bible look schizophrenic

"It was impossible for God to lie." - Hebrews 6:18

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" - 2 Peter 3:9.

In 2 Thessalonians, these people have NO chance to receive the “good word”of repentence because god is purposely preventing them from doing so.

"God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned." - 2 Thessalonians 2:11-12

The "Dogmatic Constitution on Divine Revelation" (Vat. 11, Ch. 3.11) of the Catholic Church says that "all that the inspired, or sacred writers, affirm should be regarded as affirmed by the Holy Spirit, we must acknowledge that the books of Scripture firmly, and without error, teach that truth which God, for the sake of our salvation, wished to be confided to the sacred Scriptures." This is the Church's teaching on the matter after twenty centuries of Christian discernment.

Biblical inerrancy, then, is the Bible's privilege of never teaching error. Does this mean that every statement in the Bible is divine teaching? Of course not. The Bible does not always teach. There are many statements in its various books that are there for historical, geographical, poetic or other reasons. However, whenever a biblical author intends to teach us something, then the Holy Spirit intends that too. Everything that the Bible teaches is without error, but everything in the Bible is not meant as teaching. Each author was left free by the Lord to express himself according to the ideas of his own day. It is the revelation contained in the Scriptures that is important.

There are many accounts in the Bible, which employ a literary device used by Jewish Old and New Testament writers called Midrash. Midrash is the substantive of the Hebrew word darash which means to search, to investigate, to study and, also, to expound on the fruits of the research. The aim of Midrash is to draw from Scripture a lesson for the present.

Midrash could also be defined as a "reflection on Scripture in the light of the actual situation of God's people and of the developments of God's action on its history." It proposes to explain the meaning of Scripture in the light of the later historical experience of God's people. This kind of interpretation often opened the door to embellishments of the sacred accounts, anachronisms, and a freedom in handling and maneuvering the data of tradition that were at times a little too candid and certainly very imaginative.

A good example is the Midrashic story of Noah and the flood. It is the divine message, which is important, (God saves his children from evil) not the literal account of the story.

Grace anfd peace!

Why in John 21:11
(Simon Peter climbed aboard and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish, 153, but even with so many the net was not torn.) , did we have to know that there were 153 fish? What significance is 153. I'm not asking because I know, because I clearly don't know!

My best guess: Because normally, 153 fish would have been enough to rip the nets of those days.

I BELIEVE THE BIBLE

I believe the bible is fact, is truth, it is exact,
That violence did last, to end with Noah in an ark,
It is meant to tell us how evil does rule to death,
From Abraham, to Lot and Job, see land pirate acts.

Also Sodom and Gomorrah not even ten for a land law,
God's angels aren't safe to visit lawlessness so raw,
They merely survive as nomads upon land pirates soil,
Until all 70 in family, end up in Egyptian's turmoil.

At the time of Moses, all infant males are to be slain,
His parents come up with a plan that works to save him,
By the time he is age 80, Pharoah has no heir to reign,
Guess he learned how it felt, when he was killing them.

Noah in ark year 1656, now 857 years later heirs flee,
At 897 years, the land pirates land, is all they see,
They are to destroy 7 nations & Promised Land is free,
Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Job, Moses & Joshua be.

A Priest line, a king line, the judges, all are family,
From the 12 tribes of Jacob, past 4 generations to see,
Judges 11:26; 301 years is 1198, land not trouble free,
Now Eli, Samuel, Saul to king David who brings peace.

So heir Solomon at 1Ki.6:1;480 years a temple to be,
He had 36 years to die 1413 after Noah, and 997 BCE
The 18 Judah kings end in 391 years, no temple to see,
All land is desolate and captive to Babylon Empire #3,

At 1804 years after Noah, All rebuilt by Cyrus decree,
Past 1874. Daniel 633-533, O.T. 39 books, done 443 BCE
Soon the owner of the universe amid land pirates to see,
A simple man named Jesus has no freedom here in speach.

All that he owns is clamed by Satan, Romans and priest,
He is crucified, resurrected & ascends to God's presents,
To wait until Satan & 1/3 angels cast down as enemies,
Prepares place for raised & caught up at last day as his.

To be with him at his coming and he reigns 1000 years,
The heavenly resurrects those earthly to have no tears,
All is made new & perfect & the perfect have no fears,
A new heaven & new earth is paradise, all forever his.

After Cain killed Abel. God curses Cain to wander the earth. Cain is overwhelmed by this and appeals in fear of being killed by other men, and so God places a mark on Cain so that he would not be killed, stating that "whomsoever kills Cain, vengeance shall be upon him sevenfold".

Who were those "other men"?

Jesus said he would come back for his disciples "in their time", or while they were alive. Yet they all died mortal deaths. Did Jesus forget? He's running a couple thousand years late.
