I want to know what happens after death.
Any suggestions about how to find out (short of killing myself)?

Desirre J: How about killing yourself?

Hate to break this to you, but I'm not Christian.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE refrain from trying to convert me! I just want sensible answers not preaching.

What do some of you think about psychics? Are they genuine? Can we talk to the dead?

Desiree J, lovely e-mail. Get a grip. I wasn't telling you to kill yourself, I was telling you that killing yourself is a more wasteful activity than thinking about death.
And whoever told you South Africans weren't compassionate is an idiot, just look at Mandela you fool.

There really is no way of finding out until you're dead. Near death experiences aren't even an answer (people saying they saw the tunnel & whatnot), because it's been proven (can't remember where I got the info from, sorry) that these experiences are nothing more than the brain going into a dream-like state. Even after you die, your brain remains somewhat active for a short while, & scans have shown that the most active part of the brain during this time is the part that's most active during dreaming. (Kinda morbid to think scientists are doing brain scans after someone dies, isn't it?!)

So, in summary- nobody knows until it happens.

Whoever does not admit this question has crossed his/her mind is either a child or is economic with the truth. Unfortunately many are so convinced with their beliefs that they miss out on significant spiritual matters.

Actually, you can know what happens after death. ECKANKAR is a religion that teaches you how to visit the various heavens while you are still on earth. When you do this, you lose the fear of death and get to understand your mission in life. It is an experience you will love.

Look, I challenge to think of a more wasteful activity than thinking about what happens after death. If you can think of one, I'll give you $100 cash.

Study your Bible. Pray to for the Holy Spirit to give you understanding in what you read too.

Seems to me this question has been asked earlier.
