I have been with my husband for years and he is always cranky when he wakes up... always. It annoys the heck out of me every day but I have learned to not even talk to him until noon. I may make him some coffee but I will not attempt to discuss what needs done, ask how he is, etc. In fact, he has learned to set his alarm, get up, take a shower, come downstairs, kiss me on the cheek and walk out the door. That is the extent of our morning because he is such a grump. By noon, he's back to normal.
Sorry you're going through this too.,

It sounds like you should talk to her about it, but the way you approach the discussion is very important! Approach her about it when she is in a good mood (not the morning), and acknowledge the fact that maybe there is a possibility that she is short with you because you are doing something to irritate her as well.
Try saying something like this, "It hurts my feelings when you get so irritated with me in the morning. Am I doing something that bothers you?" Then, if you are doing something that bothers her, you can both talk about it and get it out in the open. If not and she is just crabby, then she'll probably realize that she has been acting like a jerk and will be more likely to be better in the future. Whatever you do, don't take the first person's advice. Being that direct is just blunt and rude. She'll feel attacked which will probably make her even more short with you.

If someone complained to me about me being angry that I have to get up too early and I'm grumpy. Then I'd ***** slap them to next year. And if they said it during the morning.... I cannot be held responsible for my actions.

By stopping living with her like a pig. "Girlfriends" are not for mornings. Wives are for mornings.
