I am 5'8" and weigh 257lbs. I went from 170lbs (size 11) to 257lbs (size 24) in 6 months. I want to get back down to 170lbs but if there is going to be sagging skin afterward then I think I would rather stay fat.

You will unless you exercise, because your skin has really been stretched. It also depends on what type of weight loss plan you are on as well. You need to have a product that tones your body as you are losing. Another thing you need to change your way and what your are eating, because being fat is not an option. It causes all kinds of sickness and diseases. There are certain foods that are not good for us and all they do is put on fat, and we do not get the nutrients we need. Since you've only been plus size for a short time. You should have no problem with sagging skin. Be sure to include protein in your diet and work out daily to firm. You may want to buy some vitamin e oil, cocoa butter or some mothers friend cream to put on your skin to prevent stretch marks. Better to be healthy and at a comfortable weight, then to be dangerously over weight. Good Luck!

No...that usually happens when people have surgery to remove weight and thus the body doesn't have time to get rid of the extra skin. So no there won't be sagging skin.

Unfortunately, skin is only a little elastic. So if you were to lose that much weight, you are likely to have some loose skin. You really should focus on being healthy...being overweight can lead to a variety of issues which include diabetes.
