The best way is to be aware if the different cultures in your classroom. If you are aware of the differences then you can take positive steps towards improving the communication.

I teach a language class, therefore we are often discussing cultural differences. Do it in a postive way and discuss the things that are good. We sometimes get to try foods, etc. and that is always fun for the class.
