I was a christian even then but that hit me below the belt!
Though I haven't seen her for years, I know I could just walk in her door tommorrow.
She is the kindest sweetest person one could be blessed to have as an Aunty.
Never has a bad word for anyone. Works part time & volounteers part time to help the Elderly in a home.
She has this contaigous giggle, & a cute way she says 'Yes'
She is not a christian, but she is the epitomy of a 'good' person. I think she may have her own belief in God.
Why would she not be making it to Heaven?

PraysTo.. these verses are talking about the Truth & the Light, that is Jesus - she doesn't belive in Him.
John 3:19
This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of Light because their deeds were evil.
3:20
Everyone who does evil hates the Light, and will not come into the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
3:21
But whoever lives by the Truth comes into the Light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."

Ladyeagle, pray for her as the Lord leads. Only He knows a person's heart. Ask for wisdom when you talk to her and He will give you the right things to say.
The Bible says the only way to God the Father is through Jesus. Entrance to heaven is based on having your name in the Lamb's book of Life...doesn't matter how good you are. The only way to get your name written in the Book of Life is salvation through Jesus Christ.

Eph 2:8-9
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not from you; it is the gift of God; it is not from works, so no one may boast.
Our being saved has nothing to do with how "good" we are or the deeds we do. the Bible tells us in the book of James (the first chapter I believe) that "faith without works is dead". So it is important that we as Christians are doing good things but that is not the basis of our salvation. There is nothing that we could ever do that would make us perfect, it is what God has done for us that has atoned for our sins.
Romans 3:28
"For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from observing the law."
Romans 3:23
"for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,"

Only God truly knows for sure, although, I feel that any person that is good like your Aunt will make it to heaven due to God's compassion and mercy.
Perhaps this is why some when they arrive in heaven, either would have a white gown, or robe on. If your wearing the robe of righteousness, you get to see God at the thrown. If your wearing the gown, it's that God took compassion on you, and allow you to be with him in heaven. Eventually you will see God at the thrown, but first you have to learn the oracles of God, if you didn't learn it on earth, you'll learn it in heaven. Because God is love, understanding, compassionate, and shows mercy.

Only God knows her heart. He will decide. But you could pray for her salvation if it worries you. As a Christian, you would know that it is by grace we are saved and not by works, and that we all fall short of the Glory of God. Our righteousness is as filthy rags in God's eyes. The only other person in this world that had a pure heart was Mary, the mother of Jesus. Your Auntie may be pure and perfect in the eyes of this world, but what really counts is that God sees her and all of us more clearly than we do.

Read Bible carefully - Only 144000 people are going to heaven
so if even 70 peoples have made it per year, there is no vacancy left in heaven
On the contrary if you think all christains are going to heaven , there may already 2000*5 = 10000 crores of them, imagine if all of them fart together it can generate 100 atom bombs energy
How the same person watching porns, trying all kind of physical, mental and perverted pleasure suddenly after death becomes so divine that he will give up all his bad habits

Well I'm an atheist and don't believe in god. And in the bible Jesus says all non believers will go to hell. But I refuse to believe a supposed god would send someone to hell for not believing. I've tried my best to believe in god but there simply is no proof and the bible seems to be alot of rubbish. I think the truth is we all die and that's the end of it. Which might sound sad but I find it encouraging. It lets us know that this life is fragile and we should try our best to make it good for everyone around us. Because there is no reset button and no afterlife. Remember your aunt for the sweet caring woman she was and forget about the religious dogma involved. What matters is that she lived a good life and loved you as much as you loved her.

Its nice you have such good memorys of your Aunt "however" salvation is based on weather or not A person accepts Jesus Christ the second member of The Godhead as ones personal saviour NOT on weather or not that was a nice person or not, the big question your question first runs to me is "IF" God [and its HIS judgement not ours] says NO she can not be here can you put your hand in His nailed scared hands and say to Him and mean it "that okay" anyway, let God be judge and leave that to Him, trusting His judgement, as we no no one on the inside thats God's to know that. find out more free on line bible lessons www.itiswritten.com OR www.amazingfacts.org talk to me also wgr88@yahoo.com God bless

It would depend on the denomination of Christianity you belong to. Anglicans and the United Church tend to preach that good works will get you to heaven. Catholics seem to think that praying to some dead saint will get you there, while Baptist preach that you have to be born again to get to heaven. So, take your pick. Apparently you can choose the amount of commitment you would like to do in order to get there.

Some people prefer to think God is as unforgiving and narrow minded and unperceptive as they are; they want their afterlife only to be in the company of others who think that way.
Does that sound like a heaven or God you recognize?
:) Don't worry about your aunt, and don't let the meanness of others distract you.

Whoever told you that was being presumptuous. No one will know that but her and God. God's forgiveness and mercy extend to everyone. Pray for her, that she will go to heaven. We as Christians hope that all make it there someday, even those of us who at the moment may not be church going Christians.....
