My little sister is 16 her birthday was on the 9th of Jan. They are mostly going through a stage where they think everything is getting messed up. Because she is middle child I think she had it kinda hard. This 16 year old may be taking out his frustrations on the younger ones so make sure to watch out for them too or you may have to deal with this problem again. Talk to this young man and try to find some solid ground between you two. Also try to be as opened minded as you possible can! Most things they will grow out of. Encourage some things but don't force to often. When force they say no more often and want to do more things they aren't suppose to. Also find a way to get trust, letting them stay out just a bit longer if they call you or something. Tell them that there is no shame checking in, and if his friends think other wise then he doesn't have very solid friends that he can really trust with his life. If he really wants money tell him to get a job, I suggest Subway it was one of the best first jobs I had.

I'm not sure what his date of birth had to do with it unless you are trying to find some astrological reason for the way he is acting. If he is beginning to steal money and lie all of the sudden, you may want to investigate what he is doing in his spare time. If he is doing drugs, that could explain a lot. Have you tried talking to him? Asking him what is going on in his life, trying to find out why he is acting this way? What about school, how is he performing there? Get involved with your child, find out what is happening with him and if need be, get him some help. Good luck!

The harder you try the more they hate you. Teenagers! Ugh!
If he's stealing then you need to punish him- take away his video games, car, ect. If it continues then take the door off of his room, tell him if you are not able to trust him, then privacy is a priveledge he just revoked until further notice. There are plenty of things you can do to show him that he's not fooling anyone.
