ok: i looked up those verses. I think that it's probably not that God's changing his mind, but instead, he's elaborating on what he'd already told noah. my footnotes on the "seven of every kind of clean animal, a male and its mate, and two of every kind of unclean animal, a male and its mate" verse says:
"the ceremonially unclean animals would only have to reproduce themselves after the flood, but ceremonially clean animals would be needed also for the burnt offerings that noah would sacrifice and for food."
I think it's kinda like when your mom would say "go to the store and pick me up a couple of apples." and then, just as you were leaving said "ok, about those apples, to be more specific, i need the apples for a pie i'm making so get me about 5 green ones." i think God's just elaborating. plus, if you notice, there's something in that verse about "male and female" so that impies pairs of two. i guess we'll hafta think on that one, but God doesn't change nor does he change his mind.

No God did not change his mind, but the book of Geneses was written by more that one person, and at time time of it being written most bible stories were passed from one generation to the next by world of mouth. So there will be discrepancies. Later on in history people decided to put the bible together so the two stories of the great flood were included. If you look you will also find two version of the creation.

In the first verse God meant that the animals should be in "twos" - they must make a couple. Then he instructed how many couples of each species he should take. This one was based on DNA complexity (as we descovered 6000 years later). The more complex DNA required more couples of the same species. And please keep this in mind: NOTHING is accidental in the Bible. Even if it seems to you to be so...

Why would you assume God is changing His mind? In a matter of a couple of sentences, God changes His mind???
Noah does take two of every kind, even of the sevens there are at least two, but the word for seven in this context could easily mean seven in the sense of pairs, as in 2x7.
Noah is going to land eventually, and some animals are going to be sacrificed and some are to be eaten. In any event, Noah doesn't fetch all these animals, God sends them to him and Noah just holds open the doors.
You have to remember that you are dealing with ancient Hebrew texts which express their language slightly different than we do, but I could see myself saying to the Starbuck's lady, "put a couple of espresso shots in there", and then saying "and I'll take seven more like that; which means, I'm setting a pattern for that one, and then establing the quantity of those to go. I don't think she would flip out because I said it that way, do you?

We have already been dead for 16 million years, life is just a program like a film. We are on a replay with extras thrown in, like flying saucers from other programs. Science fiction is based on fact,Things that have really happened. Some programs dont even have a God. Everything is an illusion. That's what it tells me anyway. And I believe: after everything that has happened to me. But of course I am supposed to be regarded as being mad.
And ought to ask my doctor if he knows everything.

I do not think its a question of changing his mind most likely those writting it forgot. God new they would have to eat some of the animals on board so that is why he instructed more of the clean animals.

Or you could just say the same god that killed every living creature on earth. Suddenly changed his mind in the new testament and said oh no thats wrong. But most historians say noah is just an adpation to an old sumerian tale anyway.

Well, if God is omnipotent, that means when He changes His mind, He also changes the "script". He knows whats going to happen, because He wrote it in the first place, so He can rewrite it whenever He wants. He had His own reason (s) for changing the script, and they usually manifest themselves later on down the line.

You need to read the story again... slowly apparently.. he was instructed to take them in pairs not two and he was to take 7 pairs of clean and 2 pairs of unclean animals the problem is not with God or the Bible but as usual man's comprehension.

i don't think of it truly is God that has replaced. human beings in simple terms don't get it. Jesus' 2nd coming is meant to be a worldwide miracle that each and each you will discover. So we are going to get what you're requesting ultimately, I in simple terms think of human beings recover from excited with attempting to foretell while it is going to ensue. the element is, human beings do get healed as we talk. And there have been different signs and warning signs and wonders. God's conserving off on the worldwide miracle till the top yet even Jesus' miracles weren't executed interior the eyes of each guy on earth. They have been executed in view of persons and the testimony of those persons had to be adequate for others. i'm providing you with my testimony that i've got the two been healed of a crippling ailment myself and likewise considered others healed and considered magnificent signs and warning signs. i've got even had God heal my cat! What do you do with my testimony? What might you have theory in case you may lived in Jesus' time yet under no circumstances in my opinion considered the miracles your self? i don't comprehend why God does issues the way he does. often miracles accompany the announcement of God's Kingdom that's God's lively reign. i'm holding to you that God's Kingdom is handy and that's genuine! shop searching for him and requesting greater, see what he will do. do not decrease your destiny to what you have skilled interior the previous. God is larger than that. i'm hoping you adventure God in a clean way and function a great day!
