Is it necessary to have degree? What are some places to look for opportunities that serve to help protect the environment and/or help injured or endangered animals?

I would suggest looking into local organizations that deal with wildlife rehabilitation and see if you can volunteer to gain experience.

I know its not quite the same thing, but animal shelters (dogs, cats, etc) would also be places to volunteer to gain experience dealing with animals.

Same thing for environmental conservation. Look up local organizations and look for volunteer opportunities. Often times there are local ecology restoration groups that plant trees/ pick up litter etc.

If all that fails look up:

Sierra Club
Greenpeace
Earth First

love animal. take care of the diseased animal. don't indulge in politics, when talking or gearing in for saving the endangered species.
for saving ecosystem, animals help is certainly valuable.you can just use their dung for manure instead of chemical fertilizers, which is surely a health and environmental hazard.
