That may be hasty. If you are just starting out, he may be making sure that you do not overdo it. It is often better to have a slightly shorter workout than to strain or injure something.

Also, a longer workout is not always a better one and I sometimes give myself great workouts in less than 45 minutes. I know these workouts are effective because they often leave me sore.

Measure the workout by the results.

5 min is not a big deal its not like you can lose a kilo in 5 min is it, just bear with him maybe he'll make it up by adding 5more mins on the next workout
