They can see me right now.
I am sure that sometimes I let them down and sometimes I make them proud. I just try to run the race the best that I can:
Hebrews 10:39-11:3 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise: God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect. Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Nowhere in the Bible does it state that the dead ascend to heaven at the moment of death. Quite to the contrary, there are many passages that explicitly state that the dead await resurrection in the grave. Corinthians chapter 15 being one of them.
Quit calling yourself a Christian if you haven't even read your own book.
I'm an atheist and I have read the Bible cover to cover...more than once.

I think they'd be proud. I hope so, anyway. My parents died when I was in my teens. I had a lot of problems when I was younger, and was often in serious trouble, legally and otherwise. They didn't live to see me graduate as valedictorian of my high school class, or go to college on a full scholarship. They'd also be happy that I stayed in the Catholic faith that I was raised in. My mother, in particular, was an extremely devout Catholic.

I believe their spirit is always with you.... as part of our conscious perhaps - to make us better people. My father passed away when I was 13 and I miss him alot, when I have special occassions I believe he is there and proud of me, when I am sad I believe he is comforting me and when I need strength I ask him to help me.
I was only thinking that perhaps my dad and my boyfriends dad (who also passed away) are mates up in heaven and perhaps they got us together.... suppose I have to wait and see when it is my turn but YES, I do think they are invovled in our lives - very much.
Hope you find comfort in my words and if you talk to them (in your mind - like prayers) I am sure they will be around to help you. God Bless.

I do have Loved Ones in heaven and They watch over me all the time, that is why I try so hard not to let Them down.
PS: I believe in a timeless sleep, until we are awakened in Christ.

If my loved ones could see me from heaven, it wouldn't be heaven. That would mean that when my dad died, he had to see my sorrow. I just can't imagine that.
But sometimes I dream about my dad, and he's always happy about how I turned out.

Why would God allow them to suffer watching me fail over and over? Gotcha
God can show them how I will be in Heaven someday, why look at me any other way? He sees the endings from the beginnings, He sees me, and can reveal me as I will be someday------ perfected in Christ.
ATHEIST P WHAT DOES IT MEAN "APART FROM THE BODY FACE TO FACE WITH THE LORD?" Please dont lead others astray just because you have obviously been led astray.

Well, really, if they're in heaven, and if heaven is free of sin, and if it is a sin to pass judgment, then they can't possibly be making judgments about the way I live my life, can they?

Who said it's cold in Heaven? I never knew that! Does it snow there too?
