Yes, that's normal. We live in a messed up... a really messed up world that has tons of stuff for you to be angry about.
To alleviate your fear, I would recommend making sure you have an outlet for you rage and anger. If you can get some of it out, when someone really pisses you off, you won't already be so filled up and ready to explode that you go crazy.
I play the drums and play a lot of basketball, which are both really physical and are great (for me) at getting some of my anger and rage out. Believe me, you are not alone in having a hard time with control--but the more you can focus your aggression through an outlet that suites you, the less control your anger and rage will have over your life.

I think you're very normal; the fact that it concerns you is probably a good indication that you WON'T do it. If you didn't care, then I'd be worried.
Anger is hard to control because it's a very primary, instinctive reaction. In a sense, the most primitive parts of our brain are involved, and the logic of the situation doesn't always make it to the more civilized and logical parts. Recognizing that anger is normal, that it's ok, and that how you FEEL isn't necessarily how you have to ACT are the keys to dealing with your anger, and and controlling it, rather than letting it control you.

Hey, is it normal to go on a rampage and shoot people (innocent kids and teachers) senselessly (like it happened recently in a school in Virginia), or even to go and break your own TV, furniture, or crockery?
Take help from professionals at once!
Why does it happen? I am no expert, but one answer is:
My EGO. When things don' t go my way, when people dont do things the way I want , in the time I decide is right, when I am not able to control events, my patience and tolerence level being so low, I snap!!
There are tranquilisers available, which definitely can supply your brain with the deficient chemicals like Endorphins and Serotonins--- the 'Happy' endocrines that are necessary in your blood stream.

The feeling might be more common than you think, but it doesn't mean that it's normal. It is abnormal for anger to take control over one's life. One should be able to remain in charge of one's emotions. Show your anger who is the boss. I don't mean eliminate anger, for anger - if it's appropriate - is a normal response; but keep it under control and make it constructive: use your 'angry energy' to make a positive change, construct, not destruct. I suggest that you should find a good counselor, counseling delivers real help.

Well, yeah its normal depending on what you've been through. But you shouldn't have to be afraid or suffer with this burden. There is help and medication and therapy. It'll be worth getting help.

Many people feel this way at times. But if you feel like this all the time then maybe you should look into anger management courses.

You are crazy! After a certain age NO... it isn't normal! See a doctor. They will give you drugs that may cause long term damage, or insanity.
Or just don't take things so seriously.
Ps. I'm just kidding, don't come after me or you may hurt yourself.

The solution begins with the control of ego (the lower ego, to be precise).
