Here's my answer to your two part question....
Spirits, like wine and alcoholic drinks are sometimes good for the soul, in moderation. Spirits, like ghosts, occupy that space in the mind called the subconscious. Do spirits actually exist? Perhaps they do, to some people.
Sylvia Brown has been proven wrong enough times to make her highly questionalbe as to her capacity for E.S.P. (extra sensory perception).
I have her video taped on a 1999 interview where she predicted Pope John Paul 11 would die in year 2000. He was with us considerably longer.
Believe in yourself. Build your own little world around things you enjoy. Keep an open mind, and don't accept everything as being true just because others will follow.

I believe in spirits yes. I also believe that people can have the abilities that Sylvia Brown and others like her claim to have. I have had an encounter in which I've been a medium for lack of a better word for a man and his deceased daughter. I knew nothing about her, him and I had never had a conversation in the past about him losing a daughter. In this experience I felt nothing but peace and love and warmth for each other. You can say all you want that this is of the devil, or this isn't possible, or I'm lying or whatever. Unless you have experienced something, how can you know its evil or not possible or any other negative connotation you want to place on it. Anything is possible, and nothing is truly "evil" unless it is used for those purposes.

Sylvia Brown is a con-artist. She does not speak to dead people. Several skeptics have challenged her to prove her abilities, and she has declined all those offers. She and others like her always have an excuse for this. 50 years ago, they would have been following a carnival around doing readings in tents for the local rubes.
I don't know if spirits exist; I have never seen one. I have never seen the Loch Ness Monster, Bigfoot, or a UFO either.

Yes there is Gods holy spirit and the rest are called familiar spirit s or demons, those are the ones Silvia talks to, they are the unclean spirit s of the Bible. You need his Holy spirit! Go to this site and read how, it is the secret to life, to gain the Holy spirit!
