I'll give you my opinion about solunar tables. First of all, I fish whenever I can (250+ days a year) no matter what the tables say about what kind of day it is supposed to be. Second, whenever I have a good day on the water I go back and look at the tables and see if it was predicted to be a better than average day and it usually is. Third, you have to realize that no matter what the tables predict, the weather is still gonna be a factor. The tables show a major and minor feeding time and there is actually a window of time before and after the feeding times (sometimes 1-3 hrs). A storm front or a cold front will narrow down this window so that the fish may not feed for as long. Fourth, a full moon is the prime time of the month........also the day before and the day after. And if you are in a part of the country where it is possible for you to fish at night then that should definitely be the time you should go. Fishing at night during the full moon is the best time to fish during the summer months. If you are going to fish at night you need to think about the extra equipment you will need for this. A flashlight on a head band is very handy along with 2-3 extra flashlights for your boat. Remember to use dark colored lures at night (preferably black or dark blue). And lastly, hang on.........because your chances of catching a "hawg" at night are greatly increased. Good luck and tight lines.

Tried and true fish live by them. The new moon works out best with the full moon next. Try to plan fishing trips and outings around these. Usually bass are active 3 days before and after. But for those of us who fish all the time, too bad. Good luck.

If you can pick when you can fish, pay attention to them. If you're like most of us, the rest of life dictates when you can fish, so it's more like fish when you can, some times will be better than others, but fishng is still better than not fishing. And as someone else noted, the tables only "usually" coincide with good bites.

the tables do work and the bass are more active during these major and minor feeds. as mentioned weather and other factors also effect the bass. but if your on a body of water no matter what the conditions are you want to be in your best area during the peak feeds.
