I am as much of a novice as anyone can be when it comes to web-design. I just purchased dreamweaver because everyone seems to love it but I want a program that is more user friendly and that has a simple interface that isn't so cluttered. Whats out there?

Dreamweaver is the best software out there. There are programs that are easier to use like Frontpage but nothing that is easier to use that offers the complete control and clean code that Dreamweaver offers.

Try Microsoft Frontapge. I am not a big Micorsoft fan so I also recommend Nvu (pronounced n-view). Nvu is more user friendly and absolutely free.
