I hope I would have the courage to give my own life if it meant that just one person followed Christ.

Don't people ever find God on their own? Shouldn't people _individually_ seek out the Only One who can quench their thirst?

To support that notion, I submit , that as fallible mortals, aren't we in danger of leading our brother/sister amiss? Didn't Jesus Himself, for example, warn sternly about this? "The blind leading the blind?"

I've noticed a lot of people feeling good about introducing Jesus for example, but they mix Jesus with a religion or a church as they offer...isn't that a dangerous offering? Not the Jesus part, of course, but the possible ensnarement in a religion or cult as a danger.

The profound question, then: are we sure we're introducing our brother sister to saving faith, or are we pushing our concept of it on another, and thus really only leading another soul into the ditch? And what's the price tag on that mislead?

And isn't it just vanity, thinking I could bring a soul to saving faith? Isn't God the real doer in it all?

Hmmm...but, if I could bring just one person to saving faith? Hmmm...at least 3 weeks pay. But it would have to be real salvation, not someone's concept. It has to be God's concept. And I might give more than that. But there's a lot of souls, so if it works, I could get broke real quick.

Well, wait a minute, what's the price tag and I can tell you if I'd pay it or not. It's hard to guess what I'd pay with no notion. I won't pay 3 weeks pay if I could save a soul for 40 or 50 bucks, right? Am I right?

Sorry so long...just my thoughts...thanx for the question. It get's us thinking clearer about these most important things.

I would hope I'd be willing to give my own life if need be. I'm willing to give alot of time sharing my faith here, even if it may mean that just one person opens themself up to receiving The Lord.

Myself; I can give no more because everything else is, or will be, out of my control. I'm not perfect so it can't be a perfect gift until I am, and only a perfect gift suffices, and that is the love of God in truth with no vanity.

God bless.

it is impossible to forsake one's own spiritual growth in favour of someone else's - M. Scott Peck

With that said, the only sensible thing to give would be the entirety of one's self...to God.
The only way you can truly help anyone else is by working on yourself anyway.

What a good question! I would give what Jesus requires. I have given up a lot and moved across the country, and that was in hope that someone would open the Bible!!

you give all you can to save a persons soul.. then you leave it to God.. only a few of us have the privilege to be called Gods children.. so we help them and pray for them but ultimately the Lord will touch them.. no mattter how much we do or give only God can soften mans heart
