What do you think as South African citizens?
I am a born South African, but the state SA is in right now is really scary, We on the verge of our country being ruined, after 2010 , i think everything is going to go downhill. Our own president does not acknowledge the high crime rate in SA. The pollution may not seem so bad now but if it carries on like this it will become bad.

Minorities in SA are being pushed aside (e.g white, coloured, indian) Why are we as minorities being told to stand at the back of the line while Blacks get put in front. Are we not suppose to all be equal.

Look at the SA Army - its a joke - if anyone attacked SA, we would all be dead (Im not being racist by saying this) but when the white goverment was in charge we had a world class Army now the army looks lazy & overfed.

If SA Has some underground Army , please tell me coz the way our Army is going - we wont have one when we need it.

Thier are millions of shacks in SA - Why is that because when the white goverment was in charge there was not even one shack, so how come we have them now where were the black people living before

What about parliment - its the biggest joke out of all - they steal the tax payers money & they dont arrested for it - they get off scott free. When Parliment live goes on tv - all these politicians are sleeping on live tv - not bothered that the whole nation can see they not interested in the country instead they just take a nice long nap & wake up when its over

Come on since we in SA , have so called become FREE , we have lost alot for that freedom. we lost our country.

Like it or not - the white man was cruel but he knew how to run a country & all the black man is doing is ruining it.

Instead of the blackman showing the whiteman how intelligent he can be , he shows the whiteman how stupid he is by messing up the country.

Lets face it SA needs a new goverment coz the current goverment is a waste.

Just in case you think i am white , I am not. I am a mixed race child.

So to all black people in SA , wake up because you need to remember the higher you fly the faster you come down.

As south africans we all need to be treated equally & the Goverment needs to tackle all the issues that are bringing South Africa down.

The above comments are not meant to be Racist, they are just what happens daily in SA.

AS SA CITIZENS - WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Lawrence - i agree with you to a certian extent but does being hungry for authority allow anyone to be so careless with the future of a country that is a gold mine. Does authority mean more to them then the lives of people.

I am half indian & indian people have suffered just as much as the black people but the difference is indian people did not sit around & wait for a free ride, they got up & they worked really hard for what they wanted, they never stole or killed anyone to be successful it was all done by honest hard work & you know what now in SA, the indian person is still underprivilaged
WHY - because in the past indians were to black to be privilaged & now in the future indians are too white too be as privilaged as blacks. The same applies to coloureds they were too black before now they too white.

Coloureds & indians always suffered , sadly it seems like they always will.

But they make the best of a bad situation & turn it into a positive.

Indian people are amongst the richest people in SA, WHY because they work damn hard to achieve the smallest bit of success.

So Now instead of the white people being racist & unfair, the black people are being racist & unfair.

"Two wrongs donot make a right" - THE Blacks are now claiming rights to things that dont even belong to them

RICHBRO - In SA we have freedom to believe in whatever religion we want, everyone accepts & understand people have different cultures & religion.

I love SA , Despite all the drama thats unfolding now , i still think SA is one of the best countries.

I would never want to live in the USA & i would rather live under shariah law then live in an imoral country with no values & decency.

Your country is in transition I'm very sorry for you. Try to be part of the solution. If you can figure out a way to get your story in the National Media it may do some good.

It is sad to hear that such a plight exists in South Africa. Reverse discrimination (no different from what is being practiced in Zimbabwe) is no way to get back for the mistakes of the past. At a time like this, people need to be more tolerant towards each other. Let us hope that the international community is aware of the situation.

Minorities in South Africa must be treated just like the Blacks. Equal oppotunities in education and job opportunities. Representations with the government must be made by Minorities so that their grievances will be acted upon.

The SA Armed Forces must be strengthened especially of the modern threats of war and terrorism.

it will take a long time and it may never be like the Whites ran it , and that maybe if the indigenous peoples want it to be one way it is their country, and so it should be.The white men came and took the country from them and said you don't know how to live right so we will show you, but what if they don't want to be good little not quite whites. Maybe you had better move on if you want a white like life. De beers doesn't care as long as the money is there.

I feel for you that you have to live in a place like that.

I hope that your country can change for the better like it used to be.

I'm glad that your government is speaking out against the atrocities in Zimbabwe.

It could be a lot worse though,

Like in the Sudan or Somalia, or Iran, or wherever the Muslims are in charge.

That would be horrendous to be ruled under Sharia law where there are no freedoms and you could be sentenced to death for not being forced to believe the false prophet Muhammed!

Maybe you could emigrate legally to the U. S. where you have the freedom to believe in any religion, even the false ones.

Ive actually been worried about africa for some years now. Since that Blackhawk was downed in Somalia. I think that was my first real tangible idea of what a peoples army was like and I was fascinated by testimonials and news reports.

It's sad that people associate race with regions, that in itself is being racist maybe.
