Acrobat 6.0 Professional: removing pics?

Question

I've been saving pages from the web using acrobat, however would like to remove the advertising stuff before printing. Can I do this? Please explain step-by-step as I'm new to acrobat. The pages are for free crocheting patterns that I'm collecting.

Look for the Tools menu up top.
Select Advanced Editing
Use the Object editing tool for pictures, select them and hit delete.
