“‘YOU are my witnesses,’ is the utterance of Jehovah, ‘even my servant whom I have chosen.’” (Isaiah 43:10) This declaration by Jehovah, recorded by the prophet Isaiah in the eighth century B.C.E., shows that Jehovah’s ancient covenant people were a nation of witnesses. They were God’s chosen servant. Jesus, who was born into that nation was also a witness of Jehovah. He fulfilled this prophecy further by his ministry. Revelation 3:14 refers to Jesus when it says "And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;" (KJV)
Some 2,600 years later, in 1931, anointed Christians publicly declared that these words applied to them. They took the name Jehovah’s Witnesses and wholeheartedly accepted the responsibilities associated with being God’s earthly servant.

Jason W: Yes, Jesus is the faithful and true Witness of Jehovah.
Laylallu: Jesus came to earth for a reason. To minister and preach. Help people to learn about the Kingdom of God, to help people repent, and at the end give his life as a ransom sacrifice. He only had 3 years which is farely short. Jesus did not come down here to HAVE FUN. Sure, he did a few miracles (like raising the dead, calming the sea, turning water in wine, etc) but that was not his main purpose. He moved from one place to another preaching and teaching. Not singing or dancing or having fun. There is nothing wrong with recreation or having fun but Godly devotion is more beneficial.

yes Jesus was a Jehovah Witness. we do the samething that Jesus does, where ever people are we talk about Jehovah and Jesus Christ. Jesus did not start a church. Jesus always said the Jehovah is greater than he is. when Jesus prayed, he prayed to his Father in the heavens, he also said he cannot do anything without the Father in the heaven.

Yes. At Rev. 1:5, it says: "and from Jesus Christ, "the Faithful Witness." Who was Jesus a witness for? His God and Father, Jehovah.

It seems that you more or less answered it yourself, although Jesus is the Son of God, he is called the "Faithful Witness"..Jehovah being God's name...would make him Jehovah's Witness...He does have many other titles as well...but yes, he came to give us a witness.

I'm not sure, jason w.
Laylallu- are you a Born again Christian? i'm catholic (not active though) but my aunt is a born again christian. she loves to end her sentences with "praise the lord" --even when we are just having a normal conversation and talking about the weather. your religion loves to sing out loud during your services, right? and clapping hands while singing? do you dance too? Is that why you joined the group because you are after the fun? you can do that without going to church. besides, isn't church the house of God? a place that deserves respect? if you must sing, then sing with dignity.

In response to laylallu:
Jesus has more fun in Church?
Jesus never stayed in one place for very long. He knew he had a very short time on the earth before his death. He dedicated that time to preach to others about his kingdom and those in his kingdom will be healed and resurrected as he demonstrated with his father's Holy Spirit.
And we have fun?
There is nothing wrong with recreation but it taking the place of the ministry of Jesus is Anti-biblical and not following Jesus explicit directions.
Luk 12:19,20 - And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, [and] be merry. But God said unto him, [Thou] fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
Mat 10:7,8 - And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

No way Jason! Jesus has more fun in Church with healings and miracles then JW's. He would never convert to be a JW. Why would he like being told He's michael the archangel? Yes He is the True Witness, you should get to know Him better and find out what you should be doing differently. I did. And we have fun!
Be Blessed Jason and Rejoice in the Lord Jesus Christ! He is our savior!
