I've thought about that one alot also, because you see one person in a sports utility vehicle with a family and kids on one side of the street and then a person who's living on the street, completely vulnerable to everything, even law enforcement itself. Keep putting two and two together wondering if maybe we come back in another life either in the suv or homeless. But even if not, they are as close to comparing heaven to hell that we'll ever see in our lifetime because I don't think the bible quite describes the two places.

YES! the bible is simply an allegory book about how we PERCEIVED life, it is not necessarily fact, but a single view point on how we should live to make society a more manageable and tolerable place. i do not agree with every point in the bible and i do not believe the bible as the word of god. however i do feel it is a great metaphor for the virtues of life 2000 years ago, when it was written.

No- they are real places, but we can have a taste of what they are like here on Earth by the choices we make. If we chose to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, then He gives us the Holy Spirit. If we are obedient to the Holy Spirit, then we can have Heaven here on Earth, right now!

It's a big gamble to take. You should repent and be baptized! Only then will the Holy Spirit reveal the what He's doing, and heaven and hell. Give it a shot. What have you got to lose?

No.They are both very real. Read the Bible. You will see that Jesus arose back to Heaven. It also tells of hell as being a place of suffering and torment. If there is no forgiveness and no such thing as Heaven, why did Jesus die? He did die, Heaven and hell are real.

Consider that Jesus spoke of both places as somewhere to which you journey. And, consider that Jesus was experiencing life on earth when He said it. Finally, consider that the people to whom Jesus was communicating these thoughts were also experiencing life on earth.
Thus, Heaven and Hell cannot be simply "life on earth," because you must journey from "life on earth" to reach either.

I like to think of it that way. Yes.
I think that the Ten Suggestions of the biblical Moses are meant to help you live a better life.
