Yes, the unbelievers "missed the boat", well, technically they missed the ark.
No, we do not do enough to see that they do not miss it again. But keep in mind Noah probably asked himself that question everyday. He preached for over a century, being known as "the Preacher." All that preaching and NO converts, yet he was still a success.

Good question. I know that I won't miss the Boat. I made my reservations eight years ago by accepting Jesus as my Lord and Savior. Unfortunately, too many will miss the Boat because they got one foot in the Boat and one foot on the shore. They may have accepted Jesus as their Savior, but refused to allow Him to become the Lord over their life.

Well, given the statistics of what a cubit is…(See source for a definition and measure.)
…even lending the longest length of 21 inches makes this entire story simply absurd.
Genesis 6:15 “The length of the Ark shall be three hundred cubits, the breadth of it fifty cubits, and the height of it thirty cubits."
Alternatively, for our more standard modern measurements…
Length
300 cubits = 6300 inches or 525 feet or 175 yards
Width
50 cubits = 1050 inches or 87.5 feet or 29.17 yards
Height
30 cubits = 630 inches or 52.5 feet or 17.5 yards.
Even assuming a god provided all of life’s necessities for 40 days and nights so that no food, water, etc was needed, can you honestly tell me that two of every animal fit within the confines of something smaller than two football fields?
If anything “missed the boat” on this one…it was either the storytellers, or the ones that believed the story in my opinion.

good question. All I know to do is keep the Truth out there and pray that people see the reality of God before it is too late. It is interesting that the Lord compared the time of His return to the conditions that existed in Noah's day. Eight people were saved out of the human race - everyone else mocked and did not believe and were left to judgment. Sounds familiar of our day doesn't it!

Miss the boat...nice pun.
Whether they "miss the boat" again is not up to us...that is up to the individual. We can try, but in the end it is between that person and God.
We just have to make sure that we get with the program.

Yes they missed the boat even tho God gave them many yrs to get ready to get on board, but they refused with unbelief. Like the saying goes: You can lead a horse to water, but you can't make em drink. So our leading them to the Lord is what our mission is. Whether they drink of the living water is their eternal choice. Good question.

Maybe the chose to stay in the water so they wouldn't be stuck getting preached at for forty days and nights on some leaky barge with a bunch of holier than thou hypocrites.

Most people make a conscience effort to reject God and ridicule Christians. Maybe enough isn't done....maybe it is.
We can only do and say so much and then its out of our hands. Free will comes into play then.
