i've donated about 4 gallons of blood over my lifetime. the first day or two you may feel a wee bit tired, and you need to be sure to drink lots of fluids. you are giving the gift of life. there is no replacement yet for human blood. i feel like a better person after i have donated. i figure i've saved about 100 or more lives. it's a great feeling!

You will probably lose a small amount of toxins and heavy metals that have accumulated in the body over time. I don't know how much of a difference it would make to one's overall health, though.
