I met this guy and we are getting close and we have kissed and when he is with me he treats me really nice. But he has been staying at his ex gf's house a couple of times a week yet he is meant to be getting to know me. He has told me about this because he wants me to know. His ex still really likes him. How do I know if he is really interested in me and not just stuffing me around?

Courtney, sometimes the best way to find something out is to ask the person straight up and politely put them on the spot. I would simply tell him that you are confused, and this is how I would do it. I would first ask if he genuinely is interested in me. Then I would ask him why? Then I would ask the really good question. "Well if you are interested in me, why would you risk how I might feel, by continuing to spend time over at your ex girlfriend's house?" and watch him shiver. Honestly, there is no answer I could possibly conceive of, that would be a good answer to you. So really, in a way , just by knowing what you already know, you know if he is really interested in you. You seem like a great girl and I am sure you can find someone that won't play with your heartstrings like he is doing....Good Luck!

Seriously, if he was over his ex he wouldn't be staying there or spending time with her when he is trying to get closer to you. Do they have kids together or something? Why does he need to stay at her house if he isn't still getting something out of it. I'm not trying to be mean, I just know a lot of friends who have been hurt by similar behavior from guys.
Put yourself in his ex girlfriends shoes -if you still liked your ex, you'd try to keep him around. He's not totally available to you until he cuts it off with her.

we act stupider than normal and are always trying to touch you. then we call when we have nothing to say. some times we walk into walls when you walk by, and we use big words that we have no idea the meaning of. we might try to beat up the puniest guy around just to show we're tough, and although we may only shower when we can smell ourselves we will use hygene products like hair gel when we know we might see you.... so if the guy your thinking about is smart, respects your space, calls only when he has something to say, is articulate, clean and groomed and sensitive enough not to start fights....... he's gay..... and will make a great friend for a faghag!
