Well, if she waves to you a lot and other days just runs away. If she seems to get louder around you. If she smiles and blushes around you. If her friends seem to tease her while your around. If she takes a sudden interest in your freinds and if she takes a sudden interest in what you like as well. Not metion she notices you before you notice her, like on the way to class.

Ok well i would have to say that i am one of those shy girls! So i may be able to answer your question.
When i like a guy and i am shy i will look at him and look away and repeat about three times and that would have to be the clue to the shy girl. I'll kind of stare until i get his attention and the minute he looks ill probably let him catch me and then look away.
Another clue would be that she will talk to you even if she is shy big smiles and flirtation is a sign.
If you like the girl my advise would be to ask her out even if you have a fear of rejection at least ull know. And you have nothing to loose.

The is only one way to talk to a shy girl or boy for that matter. You have to gently and carefully begin a simple and normal conversation with them. It is not a good idea to blurt anything out.
I was shy when I was young, and my first real effort to encourage a young lady to like me was during a forced dance session at school. Seventh grade and I am lined up by chance with a beautiful young girl.
The music starts and I go into my best two step dance leaning and rocking to the music, but she stops me suddenly and said in a loud voice which I imaged everyone in school heard, "Stop, it feels like you are milking me!"
For a couple of years I was gay after that.

Ask her or flirt with her. Give her a green light. Shy people are looking to not get rejected. So make her feel it's comfortable to take a chance.

if they keep looking at u when ur not looking at them that when u know they like u and when u turn around they probably look away.hahahaha. complicated.

If she is friendly, smiles and looks you up and down thats a good indication.

If she pays more attention to you then anyone else, then that's a pretty good sign that she likes you.
