Due to fatal car accident and 2 surgeries my student loan fell into default. I'm made many payments there after, but missed a few. They never reported those payments. Now I'm under wage garnishment due to the missed payments and they are still not reporting the payments to the credit burueas. This is costly to my credit score since I have 12 loans out from school. What can be done? Also on top of the 15% garnishment they want $380 per month for a year to get the loan out of default. Help anyone.

I have been advised to not pay because their rules are so crooked. My retirement was garnished for a year and I was paying fifty bucks a month on top of that and my principal never went down, so I wrote the DE and told them the people they had collecting were crooks, and wasn't going to give them anymore vacation pay. I still get letters from them but their computer genersted, no real message. I wish some hacker would take them down and do us all a big favor.
