Does anybody know what group the drug depressants is in???

im doing a class presentation for my health class and i dont know what classifaication these drug is in so can anybody help me please!!! (it's for a grade i dnt do drugs)

First of all, there are different kinds of depressants, so there isn't even an answer. Secondly, part of the reason such projects are assigned is to teach students to do research. Don't think asking here would count as research. Do a Web search or go to the library.

it depends on the drug in question.
Alcohol is a depressant, and in its own group.
Morphine is a depressant, its a narcotic.
Valium is a benzodiapiniene
