hello,
i was cooking pancakes for breakfast just now in the morning.
i accidentaly hit the handle of the pan and it fell on the kitchen floor. The hot cooking oil from the pan kinda splashed against my
tigh. it really hurts.
i straight way went to the bathroom and put my tigh under running water for few minutes. And after drying i realise im having about 10 or more blisters around my knee and tigh area. and theres 1 open blister.its like pale pink in colour.
and the other blisters seems to be blue-black and it hurts.
is it a second-degree burn and how should i treat those blisters?

You need to have those burns looked at. I also burned myself with oil on the stove and it was a second degree burn. You may need some special ointment which you can't get at the drugstore to prevent infection. They gave me some - silver sulphdiazine also called silvadine. You'll need a prescription so get checked out ASAP so you don't make it worse. Try not to let the blisters open because they are more prone to infection when opened. Also don't cover them because it keeps them too moist and they need to dry out as they heal. Go to the ER or see your doc in the morning.

After running them under cold water, I would apply a triple antibiotic ointment a few times a day to keep them moist. If you can get Xeroform, a petroleum-impregnated gauze, you can wrap this over them as well. Then wrap clean gauze over this.

Leave the blisters alone. They will eventually break. Keep the burned areas aways from the sun. If the wounds don't seem much better within a week see a doctor. See a doctor sooner if the pain increases or redness develops around the wounded areas.

Hi - The pink blister is first degree burn which means it only damaged the first layer of skin called the epidermis. The blue black blister you described is considered a 3rd degree burn where you have burnt through all layers of your skin and that part of the flesh is literally dead! Because of the seriousness of 3rd degree burns i would seriously advise seeking help from your doctor on treatment. As for the 1st degree burn it is almost the exact same as sunburn - a good smearing of alovera gel should take the stinging and burning sensation away whilst also replacing the moisture lost through the skin via this burn.
Good luck matey :-)

I don't know about the degree of burn. But to ease the burning pain I would make a paste with baking soda and water and apply. Then afterwards, use a triple antibiotic ointment such as Neosporin. I hope you it feels better.

get some antiseptic lotion/cream from pharmacy....don't put any cotton wool on it because it will damage your skin when take it out...... if you scare something hurt your skin then use gauze and wrap the cotton wool and apply a bit antiseptic on the gause and also your skin.......change it at least twice a day to prevent infecdtion....if you find that the blisters is going from bad to worse ....pls consult a doctor.....if not you may get a serious infection......
