Alcohol in your blood causes the blood vessels in your face to dilate and thus more blood flows through it. This may cause your face to look more red. This is normal and happens to a lot of people.

Alcohol is a vasodilator causing more blood to flow through your veins. The more blood the redder your skin will become.

Alcohol dilates the small vessels in your skin (capillary dilation). Some people have more capillaries than others, so they will look redder than others, they also dilate when you blush.
