What would you consider a high maintenance woman?
I get my hair done every two months, get a facial once a month, I do my own manicures and pedicures but I make sure they are done, at least once a week. I take good care of my skin. I like to shop but I only spend about one hundred dollars a week on clothes. Would you consider me a high maintenence woman? Or just a person who takes care of themself? I also excersise four times a week. I get an instant tan once a week. I wear makeup to work only. OH YEAH I PAY FOR ALL MY OWN THINGS. I HAVE NEVER HAD A GUY BUY ME THINGS OR TAKE ME SHOPPING. ONLY ON DATES AND I SOMETIMES PAY THEN TOO.

Wow! There sure are a lot of people who open their mouths before they even finish reading. She said that she paid for these things herself.
You cannot be high maintenance if you don't use your man's credit card all the time and max it out.
If you can afford to do what you do, then it should not even be an issue. Unless of course your boyfriend is a childish prick.
If any guy ever said that, I'd leave him gasping for air, if you know what I mean.
Listen, if he is whining about your expenses, then he will never make you happy. And he will never stop whining until you are barefoot and pregnant. You'll end up being a stay at home wife with a small allowance for food and clothes.
Never settle for a man who whines about your lifestyle!

You are high maintenance. Why?
Because it takes a lot of time and money to maintain your image, beauty, habits, rituals... It doesn't matter who pays for them.
High maintenance isn't always bad, but there are some people who aren't attracted to it. Be a good, kind person outside of these things you enjoy doing for yourself. Be nice to people who DON'T do what you do. The people with ratty hair, chewed fingernails, old or outdated clothes, and probably not much money to change their situation.... if you're kind and genuine to these people and never mention the importance of self-maintenance... you're an awesome person and being "high maintenance" doesn't mean a damned thing.

There's nothing wrong with taking care of yourself. I'm a Glamour Girl and love to pamper myself. It's so gratifiying to do something nice for yourself. Besides, High Maintenance is a good thing.

This question doesn't work being asked by the person in question, as you will never mention the things that will make you look bad. It's human nature, you likely don't even see the things that make you high maintenace, so really, just because the things you mentioned don't make it so (or really apply) doesn't mean there aren't other things you havn't mentioned.

Girl, there ain't nothing wrong with taking care of yourself. However, it's bad if you become obsessed with yourself. You sound like a smart woman, so keep on doing your thing. Rock on!

From what you given us you don't sound "high maintenance". You do sound spendy though. $100 a week on clothes? You're closets must be packed.
