I am sure there are many Irish Wolfhounds in England. They are the largest breed when it comes to height, but the largest dog ever, on record, was an English Mastiff owned by a person in London and weighing 343 lbs, 37inches high and 8 feet three inches long.
The tallest dog on record was 42 inches and weighed 238 lbs.

The Irish wolfhound is the tallest, The mastiff is the heaviest. And I would guess that England has the same dogs as any other country :)

English mastiff is the heaviest, and Irish wolfhound is usually the tallest, although the world's current tallest living dog is a Great Dane, exceptionally large for a Dane.

Irish wolfhound is the tallest,with the anotolian sheperd dog close behing.These breeds arn't the heaviest dogs though,there generally quite light boned.

i know of the largest english mastif its around 27 stone, how i know is a friend of the family has one of its pups and the breeder who sold it broke her own world record with the new one! so she must be feeding them miricalgrow or something!
