domestic air traffic traffic during easter?

Does anyone know if Easter weekend is a busy travel period. I have a standby ticket from Phoenix to Orlando. I will be trying to leave Friday morning before Easter Sunday. So is Easter a busy time period in the airports? Thanks for any help

Yes, it's the 2nd busiest time of year to fly. As someone who worked for an airline, I wouldn't recommend flying standby unless you have to go somewhere because it could be difficult and disappointing.

I'm flying the Thursday before Good Friday and my connecting flight is completely booked right now, as well as the return flight Easter Sunday. Good luck.
