Hey, I have a question for Muslim males only. Is it appropriate that a Muslim male you have just known ( about a month) askes you if u r a virgin, knowing that you are from a conservative family and well-behaved? Is he the doubtful type hard to deal with/? Doesn' t it mean he does not trust you?

You're limiting yourself quite a bit if you only take answers from Muslim males. They are so obsessed with virginity that middle eastern gynecologists have new brides that don't bleed on the wedding night dragged into their offices by a mob of male cousins, uncles and brothers--and what he says could mean life or death for her. If you aren't from a Muslim family, it's better for you if you don't get involved with that. If you do, know what you're facing.

This is a tradition in the middle east that a man should marry a virgin so that he can be sure that she doesn't have any relations before marriage ....

Premarriage relations can affect the strength of the house that at the first problem the wife will remember how was her ex-boyfriend treating her nicely and will increase in hate for her husband .... at last the family will be destroyed , that's why most people would like to ensure that the wife had no past experience with men ... and this is not limited to whether she's virgin or not !

Ok, i'm not a muslim guy, but i know lots of them so i'll try and answer. Yes, it's inappropriate for him to ask you that. But you have to understand that this guy doesn't really know your culture or upbringing despite what he can already see. Muslims aren't allowed to have sex before marriage yet some of them come from conservative families and ignore this law. Get the picture?

Another aspect to his questioning is that he's curious - he's never had sex and wants to know what it's like from a guy's perspective (might want to live vicariously through someone else).
