Because Christians have to have complete power and control.

A true Christian will not get mad if you or anyone that feels he knows the Bible better.
There is always room for all to learn from each other.
God's word is not debatable, it is the word of God. His word has been Sanctified by the blood of Jesus.
You may know the Bible better but are you living it? If you were firm His word and living your life for Him you would not have ask this question and then turned around and answered it in arrogance's. Read & concenstrate on the Books of Ephesians and Philippans.

Knowing the bible isn't a reason to be saved or to think you really know better than any one, you may know the bible, But do you have the right interpretation of it? Did you get the message? The devil knows the bible too.

Well if there not true christians they dont study the bible very well. And if you know the bible maybe u should put it to good use.

According to some Christians until your saved and anointed you can't understand the scriptures. But that is a fancy excuse for phony interpretations and for cutting non believers off.

Anyone can memorize, you don't know the Bible... leave it alone, live your life any way you want, but don't take on a battle that can't be won by either side in this forum. It's not created for dialogue... I know your afraid of true dialogue, you don't want Christians to answer you, you just want to make obscure points. You want dialogue then publish your email you coward!

Haven't you answered your own question? Most Christians don't read the Bible, don't know how it came to be written, don't know the historical context in which it was written aside from the fairy tales contained therein, don't know about the Bible's similarities with other religions of the day and don't understand why it is so necessary to have religious leaders to interpret the Bible.

The same reason they're mad that I've read the bible from cover to cover in three translations, and understand the meaning of the words better than they do.
Of course, considering that my actual knowledge is greater than theirs, they'll just brush my opinion off because I don't read the "inspired word of god" with the assistance of the holy spirit. Oh well.

maybe because you read it out of boredom. I think and I know you will agree when I say this. My friend pastor morris has been trying to say this to people. Christians need to get their hands dirty. God and all pastors like my friend morris have been trying to tell them. My Christian brethren, it won't kill you to socialize with anyone who doesnt believe or does believe and doesnt serve him. I know I do. I used to have a gay male friend and he was one of the nicest people I have ever met. All Homosexuals are different. They are not all the same and mindless. Some still enjoy the traditional family. My friend did. The thing is......get your hands dirty....and I mean do this.....socialize with anyone who isnt Christian. Become friends with them. You do not have to do what they do. Just be their friend. Be there for them. I am tired of seeing my brethren. My dear saved brother and sisters not getting their hands dirty. Even Jesus did. He socialized with the sinners (the unsaved). I get my hands dirty with others all the time or as much as I can. Live your life in front of them like they do toward you. Dont say anything about the sins they have in their life. God said that himself. He says live your life in front of people. Dont be afraid to get your hands dirty. In other words. Socialize. You do not have to get involved with their lives. Just be kind and give them a break.

Really? Tell me all about Lamentations. Somehow I don't believe either of your claims. I would be delighted to find an atheist who really knows the Bible.

Well first your an atheist therefore your use the SCriptures against them to promote your own ideas or the liberal agendas...
This also depends on WHAT you know about the Holy Bible or wether your a closet Christian...
