I thought the joke went "I miss you like I miss my whiskey habit" meaning who wants that.....as in razzing me.....but I want it to mean he misses me like an addiction. He hasn't made a move really but we have had some really great times recently. He also calls me a riot all the time.

I would take offense to a comment like that if it's someone you are close to, if he's just a friend than it's probally a joke. But I would read that as "I miss you like a bad habit, that I can't shake". So he's drawn to you for some reason, but maybe not a "good" reason.

well...did he really like his whiskey??? Just ask him if he would like to go out with you. girls make relationships so hard by thinking that they are complex, I mean c'mon.....we are talking about a guy here. women would be really surprised if they knew how much we would love for them to be direct with us. we are not mind readers and no matter how much you want us to we DO NOT know what you think or want all the time. Quit reading too much into innocent little comments and focus on the good stuff...good luck
