You are making a few big assumptions in your question... may i point out some for you...
"they existed millions and millions of years ago" -- you assume that the earth is over 7,000 years in age...
"millions of years ago way before god (little g) came into the picture..." -- you assume that God (big G) came into the picture AFTER the creation and not before...
"Why aren't the dinasours put in the bible (little b).." You assume that Dinosaurs are not mentioned in the Bible (capital B) when they ARE INDEED MENTIONED IN THE BIBLE....
and lastly you assume that "IF" there are no dinosaurs mentioned then God can not exist--when the existance of God is NOT in no way baised upon the existance of Dinosaurs...
If you read about the Leviathan "the fire breathing Dragon" mentioned in Job 41... it COMPLETELY DESCRIBES a Dinosaur down to the LONG TAIL of a cedar tree...
when the New King James version of the Bible was written the word "Dinosaur" never existed... however when describing the termonology of Dinosaur and Leviathan the difinitions are exactally identical...
Most versions after were derived from the NKJ versions of the bible which makes since the word Leviathan still exists...
In conclusion to your statments... DINOSAURS DO EXIST IN THE BIBLE...
now--as to WHEN this earth was created, how long ago--add up the dates in the Bible and you get a refference point...
however, if you are biased upon your "Old Earth" view then you will never come to an agreement...

What do you mean 'before God came into the picture'?
God IS the picture, the BIG picture!
1) The earth is not millions and millions of years old.
2) The bible had started to be written on day one.
3) The dinasaurs ARE mentioned in the bible, and some may have even been on the ark. They are referred to as 'giants', or, 'dragons'.
For proof, you can look up 'answersradio.com' Click on the first one that pops up--Answers in Genesis. Go to 'Get answers' at the top of the page, then scroll down untill you see 'dinasuars'. The information will amaze you. *I* even learned something new!

Why would dinosaurs be important to eternal destination?
I know it's not proper to answer a quetsion with a question but of what importance is dinosaurs, period? I mean, I got friends and family who are probably not going to heaven. Why would I want to read about dinosaurs?
However- in the book of Job, there is a part (chapt.41) that talks about a certain Leviathon which is said to be an alligator, or something of the like.
Another thing- just because people estimate about how old a dinosaur bone, are you going to believe them? But, if I tell you that God loves you so much that He gave His only son so you could spend eternity with Him, would you think I was liing? It seems you believe in God because you said "long before God came into the picture". But God created everything from nothing; He spoke it, and it became (Genesis 1:1-31). That means, the poor little grasshopper that wasn't mentioned in the bible (bless his tiny little heart), like the dinosaurs, were created from nothing. Humans on the other hand, were created from His image, hence the continuous mentioning because that's what's important.

Just because it doesn't mention dinosaurs in the bible doesn't mean the bible isn't real. There are many mysteries that God didn't think we needed to know, we could either find out for ourselves, or it will remain a mystery to us. Such as, how could he live forever and never have a beginning or end. Then you think, but how could he just "appear." This things are often unimaginable to us. But back to the topic. Nobody knows what happened before the bible started, so there is a possibility that the dinosaurs appeared, and then were wiped out by something. Then God used the earth for something else, us. So, dinosaurs are obviously real, but that still doesn't prove the bible fake.
Also, people are referring to the book Job. It never says what kind of an animal it is, that doesn't mean its a dinosaur. In Job 40:15 It says "Look now at the behemoth, which I made along with you; he eats grass like an ox." From what I remember in science class, I've never heard of a T-Rex eating grass. So that is NOT necessarily a dinosaur.
In the book of Job, it is mainly talking Job living through trials with Satan, and God allowing him to do it. Satan is often described as a dragon/serphant/etc. So that might be Satan pictured. But no matter what, it is YOUR opinion, not anyone else saying "God isn't real" or anything like that. You read the scriptures and decide for yourself what you believe is right or wrong. God gave us choices for a reason.

Dinosaurs are referred to in several Bible books. The book of Job describes two dinosaurs. One is described in chapter 40 starting at verse 15, and the other in chapter 41 starting at verse 1. We think you will agree that 1½ chapters about dinosaurs is a lot—since most people do not even realize that they are mentioned in the Bible. (Actually reading the Bible would help, though.
How do explain the stuff in the bible that was written before it even discovered by science? If you really want to know the truth then take a look at this site.

Our world that we live in now is drastically different than before the flood. In the Old Testament people pre-flood lived longer and grew taller than now. Just look at the records of how long people lived. After the flood watch the ages get drastically shorter. After the flood humans were still able to adapt and survive in this different world. Dinosaurs were not. Scientists know for a fact that the largest of dinosaurs could not exist in this world because their nostrils are about the size of a horses. They could not get nearly enough of todays oxygen in to keep their body alive. Scientist know for a fact that the oxygen in the time of the dinosaurs was of a higher concentration so larger nostrils were not necessary. Humans living in an atmosphere with better oxygen than we have now would live longer and grow bigger. Maybe you have noticed from fossils that everything grew bigger back then, including plants and insects. Dinosaurs and humans went through the same cataclysmic event (the Flood) but only one was able to adapt to the new world. Had Adam and Eve written down every animal they had to name, or Noah had a room checklist for his boat, we would then know for sure they coexisted with dinosaurs. And there are references to dinosaurs under different terms, since the word dinosaur didn't come around until a few hundred years ago.

There are many things that exist in the universe which are not mentioned, specifically or otherwise, in the Bible. The Bible is a book of FAITH, and not a book of complete facts, factoids, little known facts, and trivia. Dinosaurs (this is the correct spelling, by the way!) are not pertinent to the faith we have in God. If you wish to question the existance of God, then you might ask yourself this (if you believe in the scientific theory of creation, starting with the BIG BANG)... "WHO created the Big Bang?" Was there truly nothing before the Big Bang? If so, then where did all the "stuff" come from that blew up in the Big Bang? If not, we're back to the original question, WHO (or what) created it all?"

Eileen, if you do a little research about the Bible you will find that there is absolutely no evidence against the Bible. The Bible is not a historical document, but it is entirely historically accurate. In fact, Christianity does not contradict science in any way. For one, dinasaurs were created about 6000 years ago and yes they are mentioned many times in different places, in the Bible, mostly in the Book of Job.They existed at the same time as man. Scientists have discovered footprints of man and dinasaurs together, over lapping each other in Texas. So please read the Bible before you make any comments on it, because the Bible is true and Science supports it.
