Sounds like a compressed nerve. You should have an MRI on your cervical spine region. Have your blood pressure checked as well...

I am assuming your question is a joke.

It would seem physically impossible for you to lie on your back and have your head anywhere but in the 270 degree area that equates to your extreme right and left side or your face looking straight up. To do otherwise would require that you sleep prone on your back and turn your head a full 180 degrees so that you would be facing down your back. I believe this could only be accomplished by breaking or removing your head and turning it face down, The pain would only last a moment and then you would cease to feel any discomfort -- for all eternity.

Don't think into to it, call your doctor is most important, because I do not know your history and you need to take care of yourself properly, advice will only give you ideas, you need to get to the root of the problem if there is one.
It could be as simple as allergies.

It's a tumor...no I'm only joking. I get the same thing and my doctor says I might be getting up to fast and I don't allow enough oxygen to flow throughout my upper extremities and brain.

does this happen while youre standing? it could mean that you have a nerve being pinched off in your neck. this happened to me, but it happened standing up or laying down. anyway i went to the chiropractor and had my neck adjusted and was fine - been ok ever since, still some neck pain sometimes, still go to the chiropractor
