Okay I was thinking about getting auburn or gold lowlights, but i have no idea how it will look. I have dirty blonde hair (picture below) and I'm just so lost. I already have some subtle highlights, should i get more highlights and lowlights??

ahh i'm lost.

You have great hair and great eyes. How about going auburn (as a base) with gold/blonde chunky highlights? It will be a nice Spring combo of warm color with sun-kissed hair and you can have some fun with it. You can gradually add in more gold highlights as Summer starts and then eventually go back to blonde for Summer, then return to this original look for Fall/Winter?

You can have fun with color. If you are scared...try just a few strands of temporary color wash to 'try it on' and see what you like.

Good luck and have fun! Don't forget to get a good conditioner with UVA/UVB sun protection to keep your highlights, lowlights or color wash protected so it will last longer! :)

This is like deja vu. I put my pic on here yesterday, and today I got red streaks in my hair, and it rocks! Unless you wanna spend big bucks, you're prolly not gonna get a good natural look with a kit from walmart. Your hair is the same color as mine, do red! You'll get more attention than just plain dirty blonde.

go to your stylist and ask if they use schwarzkopf colour ...than ask for a 7/77 which is an intense copper/gold....have them slice the colour thin with some bleach to lighten the hair and do it in the pattern of (dark foil) (natural hair for 1/2 an inch) (light foil) (natural hair for 1/2 an inch) and keep reapeating and i think it will look amazing!! but the copper must be very thin to look natural....good luck!!

red lowlights, girls with dirty blonde hair look really good with red, and blonde highlights damage your hair way too much.

if you have blonde hair that will naturally get bleached by the actual sun in the summer. There has been this guy in my class who else had golden blonde hair that has been a medium brown near the base. When he came back to school after summer vacation, it was practically platinum blonde!

Jet black hair. I have really dark brown hair and I believe dark hair looks better. I may really like blonde hair.
