PLEASE stop listening to horror stories.
It is NOT painful.
What you need is lubrication. You may not produce as much as you normally would since you will be nervous. So go by some Astroglide, it's under $10.
When you get to the point where you both think you're ready, have your hubby insert his penis until you tell him to stop. The muscles may need to relax a little & stretch so he needs to do it in little increments until he can be inside you all the way.
Don't expect this to be the be-all-end-all of sex. It's rarely "the bomb" the first time. It will take you some practice to learn what it is you like, what you don't like & what will get you to the point of climax.
It is one of God's greatest gifts.

The pain and bleeding that most people think of with having sex for the first time comes from rupturing the hymen. Most women today have already ruptured their hymen. It can happen from bike riding, horseback riding, tampon use, lots of different things.
The first time can still be uncomfortable but is usually not painful. Have a drink or two with dinner to help you relax. Ask your hubby to take it slow. Enjoy exploring each others body and take your time. If you relax and take it slow you will soon discover that any discomfort fades and pleasure takes over.
I was a virgin on my wedding night almost 28 years ago. My husband was a well. We have learned alot together and from each other. I have never regretted saving myself for him and I have never regretted being faithful.

hurts like hell? I think that's a bit exagerated. If it were that bad, women would never get pregnant. It may sting the first time, like a papercut, and you might spot a bit, but it's nothing a panty liner can't handle and it won't last. It shouldn't hurt though. If he's hurting you, gently tell him what he's doing doesn't feel good and change positions, try something else. If it makes you feel better, bring some ibuprofen and a couple of thin pantyliners, but seriously, it's not as bad as you seem tohave been told. You've got nothing to worry about.

just relax...the more relaxed you are the better it will be. i bleed when i lost mine but you may not so you may want to take precautions just in case, like a towel underneath you. (they may make you pay for the sheets on the hotel bed if you bleed on them since if you get blood on anything fabric from a hotel they cant use it any more....) but most importantly, just RELAX! the more relaxed you are, the less it will hurt. he is the man of your dreams, think of how happy you are to be married to him, and that should calm you right down! congrats honey!

Just relax and let things happen. It can be uncomfortable, but nothing too bad. If you are worried, perhaps have a glass of wine or two during dinner that night. Don't get drunk, but the wine will help your body relax. If you are stress and tensed up, you will not enjoy the experience.
